Are you currently looking for a working from home data entry job? Who isn't? Most people see this as an opportunity to earn money while watching TV or babysitting the kids. For most, it's the perfect second job for a single parent, or a main job for a mother who would like to have a better "working mom" setup.
Some people who have working from home data entry jobs don't even fit these categories. They just choose the professions because it's convenient, has a lower overhead, and it allows them to manage their lives more efficiently.
Succeeding in the field
Contrary to popular belief, though, working from home data entry jobs are not for the faint of heart. Neither is it for someone who lacks self discipline. Yes, it's more relaxing to work without anyone breathing down your neck all the time, but it's also doubly hard to keep yourself on track when the television set is in front of you, the telephone can ring at any moment, and the bed looks more inviting.
To succeed in this field, you need to learn how to manage your life. Some people who are in home based data entry careers can manage to multitask. Others, on the other hand, find it easier to just sit down and work during regular office hours and pretend they're not at home. It's really up to you, although most people find the latter strategy more effective.
When you interact with clients through email or phone conversations, make sure that you emanate professionalism. Do not be too casual in your conversation or email exchanges, and learn to meet the deadline as much as you can. Make the client trust your work by double checking it for errors before submissions.
Also make sure, that the files you're sending are clean, uninfected by viruses, and are not corrupted. Ask the client what his/her operating system is so you can make the necessary changes to make your finished product more compatible to his/her computer's operating system.
Be open
If you think you might have limitations or difficulties with the project, just be honest. This is better than getting their hopes up, starting a project only to see that you don't have the capabilities to finish it. Remember, working from home data entry jobs rely on your familiarity with the topic.
Being open about your capabilities and limitations is very important especially when you're dealing with technical procedures and are just beginning. You may have to work for less money at the beginning, but your experience will build soon enough allowing you to demand for more money for your services.
